- Citizens For Off-Leash Areas (COLA) (http://www.coladog.org/) is "a non-profit that was formed to obtain and maintain off-leash dog exercise areas in Seattle."
- People for Off-Leash Recreation (POLR) (http://www.off-leash.org/) is an organization of dog owners that "seeks to protect, enhance and expand off leash recreation oportunities for responsible dog owners, recognizing that off leash interactions and exercise are crucial for the socialization and physical well being of our dogs. Through advocacy and education, our goal is respectful coexistence with other park users, by training, supervising and maintaining appropriate conduct of dogs off leash in designated areas." It is not limited to a certain geographic area, but has thus far worked primarily in Bellevue and Mercer Island.
