Del's Story

Cat AcneAfter we adopted Del from a shelter, we took him to his first vet visit, where our veterinarian told us that he had "Cat Acne" on his chin.
The veterinarian told us that the acne would most likely clear up with time, but after reading up a bit more we realized that there were a few things that we could change to help this dermatological dilemma. As it turns out, the oils and fats from kibble and wet food tend to cling to the surfaces of plastic dishes and bowls. Del was rubbing his chin in all of that, which is why he was suffering from "cat acne". After switching to ceramic food dishes, the problem cleared up right away. |
