Yoshy's new boots

Since Yoshy's been having back problems it affected his back paws. He's been dragging the paws, shaving up his claws and skin, so they'd bleed. That was very painful and, besides the back issue itself, very discomforting and irritating for him.

We got the "grip trex bark'n boots" for Yoshy at MudBay in Burien/Seattle, WA. We got two sizes to see which fits best. The measuring instructions on the package were very helpful on that part. First in the house, and then walking outside Yoshy had more traction and looked a bit surprised, but very happy, that he had more control of his feet. Even though because of his condition he's dragging his legs more and more, he doesn't heart himself with those shoes walking on asphalt. We make them quite tight, the boots stay on, only seldom flip around, and protect his feet great from the bottom and from the sides and the top too. And they look like hiking boots!!  Putting the boots now isn’t a problem at all, it means - going out for a WALK and playing with his best friend, our girl German Shapherd Kora!
